Hi! I’m a student in Class 8 and I recently started my own blog, and the best part is, it was totally free. I never thought I could do this but now it feels amazing to share my thoughts and ideas online. Why I Wanted to Start a Blog
Actually, I always liked writing my thoughts in diary or in my school notebooks. But then one day my cousin told me, “Why don’t you start a blog?” I didn’t even know students can do that!
I searched on YouTube and Google, and I found out that yes, many students are blogging these days. Some write about their school life, some write poems, some even teach coding and maths! So I thought, okay let me try also.
How I Started for Free
First I saw many websites like WordPress.com and Blogger.com. But honestly, it was little confusing. I also check out medium.com and substack.com, but they seem to very boring and serious, whereas thoxt is much more fun and easier to work around. Too many options and settings. Then I found Thoxt. It looked easy and simple, and it also had some career-related stuff which I liked because I want to become a software engineer. So I just went to Thoxt.com, made a free account using my Gmail verification, and then boom!.. I started writing!
My first post was not perfect, but it felt great. Like, I was finally doing something creative online, not just watching reels or playing games.
What I Liked About Thoxt
Thoxt is really student friendly. It don’t ask for any money or card or anything like that. Just log in and start. Also, it has tips for how to write better and how to make a good impression if someone (like a teacher or college) sees your blog.
You can write anything, career tips, science facts, stories, daily life, essays, school news, etc.. I even made a post about how to study without getting bored.
How I Shared My Blog
After writing, I sent my blog link to my school WhatsApp group and my English teacher. She really liked it! My friends also started reading and some of them now also want to start blogs. One of my best friends is writing about football matches and players. I also posted on Threads and Instagram and my sister helped me with that lol.
Is Thoxt the Best? I think for new students like me, yes. It is best for starting out. And it also allows you want to make money or do advanced things like auto SEO. But for now, Thoxt.com is enough and very helpful. Blogging is not only for adults. We can do it too! If you have ideas in your mind or just want to write anything, just start a blog.
You never know where it can take you. Maybe one day your blog will help you get into college or even get a job. You don’t need to be expert. You just need to start.
