Shravan Kumar

Shravankumar Kanojiya is the Head Chef at Basrah Lounge, London. Originally from Mumbai, he graduated from Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition (Mumbai) in 1999 with a 3 years full time hotel management course. He has worked on both national and international cuisines. Shravan has experience as a chef for more 20 years. Afterwards, he started his career as Commis 1 at Indigo restaurant in Colaba, and also worked at Olive Bar & Kitchen in Khar as Jr. Sous Chef. Wanting to cross international borders, he moved abroad and joined Carnival cruise line, Miami, USA. He finally moved to United Kingdom to work at a French cuisine restaurant in a 5 star resort Centre Parks, Thetford. Since then, he has also worked at restaurants from casual, fine dining to Michelin star restaurants in Sous Chef/ Head Chef position. In his free time, he loves to watch Bollywood movies and listening to Indian music. He also enjoys traveling.
