Nalini Sharma, Fashion Designer

Nalini Sharma is a fashion designer with over 30 years of experience. She has been running a boutique by the name “Saga: The Boutique” in Pune city for 23 years now. There, she designs clothes for all types of events, right from ethnics to western evening gowns. In addition to making custom clothing, Nalini also has sample outfits and materials on display for her clients to choose from. Having finished her masters in home science with specialisation in Textile and Clothing with a gold medal from SNDT Women’s University in Mumbai, she started her professional career by working as an assistant professor at G.B. Pant University in Uttarakhand from 1990 to 1994 before starting her own boutique in 1998. For a brief period, she also supplied dresses to The Bombay Store. She loves talking to her customers and envisioning their fashion. In her spare time, she enjoys singing, sketching and travelling.
