Dr. Sagnik Chakraborty

Dr. Sagnik Chakraborty is a physicist and academic entrepreneur. He completed his Bachelor of Science Honors (B.Sc Hons.) in Physics from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata in 2009. After that, he pursued his Masters in Science (M.Sc.) in Physics from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. He has also done a Ph.D. in Physics from University of Illinois at Chicago, which he completed in 2018. Originally from Kolkata, he founded Vector Educational and Consultancy Services, an educational start-up that provides physics education starting from the post-secondary level. He also works on science communication seminars and career-counselling. Prior to this, he has worked at Intel Corporation, and has also had experience working as a Research and Teaching Assistant at University of Illinois at Chicago. He started his career working as a Junior Research Fellow at Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics (SINP), Kolkata.
